Title: proper mouting of four-way leaf stick?
Post by: EggZilla on September 11, 2003, 10:58:23 pm
Okay, here's what may be a really stupid question. I have a four-way Wico leaf switch stick -- I think. Bob Roberts told me it is, but I'm unable to distinguish between it and an eight way.

I've heard the gray vs black comparison, but Bob claims the width of the hole is the difference. Taking his word for it, does anyone know the proper width of a center hole for one of these puppies? Or is it possible that Bob is actually mistaken (sorry Bob - no offense meant.)

Thanks for any advice anyone can give.

Do you mean what size hole for your cp?  1 1/8" will work for either as long as it is properly centered.

The 8 way is black the 4 way is grey but can sometimes be black. The way to really tell is that the hole that the shaft goes through is round on the 8 way and flattened on the sides on the 4 way.

Or, you can just move the stick around and see if it can hits two switches at once on the corners, or just one at a time.

Perfect. Thanks to all three of you - you've given me exactly the advice I needed!
