Was at target in NY flushing area and they had these glasses http://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/dads/da75/ (http://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/dads/da75/) on clearance. I paid 13bucks for all 4
-
neither target here had them. I guess I cant get you to get me a set and ship them could I?
-
Picked a set up in Jersey last week, very nice and will look good in the Gameroom right up until one of my kids breaks one! :badmood:
-
Just checked Target's site to see if they lhad in stock near me, it says "not sold in stores". $19.99 for the set online:

The set of six shot glasses at thinkgeek look pretty good at 15.99:

My wife got me those at Target about a month or two ago...
-
This might be a dumb question but how durable are these? I actually want to use them.
-
Hrm... anytime I dare venture into a Target with my wife, we somehow end up with $200 worth of wine and $100 of nifty stuff in cute containers that we didn't need....
The reason why you are the way you are just became clear to me. ;)
Those are pretty cool. They remind me of the glasses sets they used to sell at McDonald's back in the day.

We are still using our Muppets Take Manhattan, Smurfs, and Charlie Brown ones from a LONG time ago. They have held up great.

Some of these hold up better than others. We have some Pokemon jelly jars the kids have been using for 10 years and they are just now starting to fade.

Just to be clear, my reply has nothing to do with the Atari glasses.

Got it. Read your post on my phone and misread it on my phone at the same time.

Saw these about 2 weeks ago at our Target in Clearance but they still scanned at $20.
-
I went to my local Target tonight as well. DENIED!
-
We had an hour or so to kill tonight, decided to risk it. Turns out we needed candles - who knew?
Pic says it all.

Nah... you can't blame 140 bucks on candles alone... unless... are you Amish? WTF are you doing on a computer?
God will smite your English ways! GET OFF NOW!!!
-
Found one last set at our target for $10. I can't believe some of the other crappy sets they have which WEREN'T on clearance (Bob Marley, the Hangover movie, Beatles, etc).
The trick to Target is to go there without your wife. ;D

Man, after so many years, I get it. You're trying to have fun like the rest of us.
-
I'm guessing since the cart is otherwise empty, the wife didn't come with you?
-
These are already starting to show up on my local Craigslist. $45.
-
Went to my local target, all sold out.
-
My Wife ordered me a set of these from ThinkGeek, as well as a cool Galaga t-shirt. She was going to give them to me for Christmas, but she's not good at secrets. (Keeping them, or having them kept from her.) So, I had a beer in my Centipede glass last night. They're very, very cool. Nice and sturdy, fit a pint, and the graphics are thick, and well done. Two beers up!

I don't always drink beer...but when I do I prefer...Miller Lite in a bottle. ;D

I challenge any and all beer snobs to a blind taste test. None of them have ever taken me up on it.
(Milwaukee Best tends to win, I've been told)
Using what in the test as a "snobby" beer? The only way this would even be close to possible is if you limited it to lagers. I don't care for lager in general, micro or other, but even Sam Adams has a vastly different taste than Bud, etc.
-
I'm certainly no "Beer Snob", but it's a simple fact that Canadian Beer > American Beer. I certainly wouldn't turn down a free, cold American Beer, if the offer presented itself.
-

Common misconception, once again produced by our Canadian tendency to differentiate ourselves from our neighbours. The truth is, The States has just a good beer as Canada. The problem is, like in Canada, it's hard to find the good stuff when all the macrobrewed crap are what people tend to compare to.
Canadian (referred to as a Molson in the US), Bud, Coors, Old Mill... They're all the same beer. Really the big differences are in the microbrews.
Check out some of the beers from Rogue Brewery (Portland, OR), or Phillips Brewery (NY I beleive). Right now they are of my favourite. Though my all-time favourites are Irish beers...guiness, killkenny, and smithwicks. Oooo, throw Mickeys in there too, they're always fun to drink. Mmmmm..... Beeeeer....droool ;)

I am certainly not going to argue with you, given the history of such things.

What's our Clearance, Clarence?
The store I saw them on is in MA. The section of the store was Clearance. ;D

The best beer is a free one. The second best is a cold one.
;D

Meh, I'd take that challenge. I suspect I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between Bud, Miller, Coors (shiver), and the like. However, I can't believe I wouldn't be able to tell Blue Moon, Shock Top, Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde (RIP), and the like that I do drink and like.
-
This is the best I can do.

Shock Top was created to directly compete with Blue Moon. I bought both recently and couldn't tell the difference.
I didn't believe the Coke/Sprint thing myself and tested it on a bunch of coworkers once. Nobody could tell them apart with a blindfold.
I have both in the fridge, I will do a blind test of the two (Blue Moon and Shock Top) and report back.

This sounds like something we should all do independently, over the weekend, and report back on tuesday.
-
Spent the weekend in the middle of a family emergency and did not complete the task. All is well now but it was a long weekend in the hospital for an immediate family member.
-
No, my son was rushed to the ER late thursday night and had emergency surgery on friday morning. This isn't one to be a troll on, jim. Shut your mouth.

So, you've made it our business by posting about it.... but heaven forbid any of us comment on it?
Gotcha.
(nobody would have noticed or cared that you did not do your Blue Moon taste test)
There's a difference between commenting and being an ass.

+1 Good luck with your son.

He's on his way to full recovery now after a post op complication that he got past. Thanks for the well wishes, folks. He'll be his old self before too long.
-
I'm glad to hear he is doing better. There is nothing more scary than a seriously sick child.
