hi everybody
big problems with my operation bear.
the powe supply went dead today when i turned the machine on the fuse in the house melted
since i have a spare power supply i installed it
now the machine turns on but the game won"t just stripes on the screen and somethimes it reads bad ram error
any help is welkom(http://)

Assuming that you have already checked that the 5 Volt is actually 5 Volt with the new PSU – there is a big risk that you fried some of the RAM circuits when the old PSU died. The error message indicates that... Is there any more details in the error message (like RAM adress or bank etc)?

no there is only the message bad ram error and screenram error
so i think your"e right,and the rams shorted out
is there anyway to fix it???

Well, anything is possible. Unfortunately the RAM circuits are usually not socketed, so you will need a soldering iron (and some “know-how”). This might be very tricky if it is a multilayer PCB. And of course you also need to find replacement circuits.
You might end up in a situation where it is easier to find a new board.
I haven’t done this myself yet so any second opinions in this matter is appreciated. However the principles are pretty simple.

Aha, didn't see your last post. Great to hear that it was solved easily, even though you might feel a bit stupid right now :)
