Title: U360 Problem
Post by: notroubleclubber on September 12, 2011, 04:14:25 am
I have 2x u360s connected via usb to my mame cab.
Im using maximus and ledblibky and everything maps as it should (i have the voice on and it changes per game ie, 4way,8way etc).
However im finding that even though i can hit all my diagonals easily, i cant hit down+right diagonal. It just wont register.
Is this an issue with the 8way map? Ive calibrated the u360s when i first installed them and they worked fine then.
I havent tried player 2 u360 yet - but wanted to ask where to start looking.

The u360s are standard, no restrictors and standard spring.

All the u360 maps are symmetrical (including those provided with LEDBlinky) - so it seems highly unlikely that the map is causing a problem. You can use the Ultramap app to set a specific map and then check how it works from the Windows game controller dialog. I would also try the 2nd stick to see if it suffers from the same problem.

Update

I've looked at the calibration in windows and checked the maps and everything is fine but when playing a game in the latest mame it is near on impossible to go down and right diagonally at the same time.
All other diagonals are ok and all the diagonals work in windows calibration.

Obviously a software problem then but where?
