Title: 19" CRT vs 20" LCD for Cocktail
Post by: CWorley on September 06, 2011, 12:24:11 pm
I've started construction on my first build, a cocktail modeled after K. Lindstrom's Pac-Man design, and am not sure which way to go regarding the monitor.

I'd rather go with a CRT (via 8liners) for authenticity, but am a bit nervous because I've never worked with one before.

An LCD would be cheaper and easier to work with, but not as cool.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Go LCD - lighter, cheaper, easier

But, and particularly for a cocktail, make sure that the LCD has good viewing angles. Some LCDs look terrible if you look at them the wrong way.

Thanks guys!  I'm probably going to go with a Dell UltraSharp 2007FP 20" LCD.
