Title: Dot Matrix Displays

Has anyone had any experience with the kind of dot matrix displays, such as those on pinballs? I know this has been raised... but is it possible to have some kind of output from the computer to be recognised by the display and shown. I am presuming that it may be similar in principle to an LCD receiving and displaying information from a computer. Any advice, links etc?

check out pinmame  (google for it). Not sure if it'll output to a dot matrix board though... the visual pinball crowd may have more details on this...
