Title: Question on UncleT's guide
Post by: FALSE on August 22, 2011, 10:08:50 pm
Hello, sorry for what is probabbly a noob question...
I'm trying to setup MAME and MALA using UncleT's guide v1.6.
I've got a question on some of the resources he mentions.
I'm not sure I understand exactly what the "artwork" and "snaps" files mentioned are for.
I assume they are for having artwork on screen in MALA but I'm not sure...

Would someone please be able to explain exactly what those are for?
A screenshot might help : )

Also are they single files that have all the artwork and snaps I'll need or do I have to download the necessary files game by game???

Could anyone provide a link to said files?

Thanks for reading and any help I can get.

You need to understand more about MAME and 'support files'. Also, fast-forward to the end of the guide thread for the current version of the tutorial.

Definately needed to read a little more.
I found the Mala wiki and read good bit of it.
Think I've got a better understanding of it now.

Thanks for the info..
