Title: ATi Radeon 7500 SVideo to Sony 27" Problem
Post by: BldnACab on September 09, 2003, 12:24:49 pm
I currently have a Radeon 7500 AGP video card connected to a Sony 27" television using the SVideo connection. I am using Windows 98SE

My problem is when running games under MAME32 and even Windows itself, the picture is wavey vertically, specificaly towards the left and right borders.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before, and if you have do you have any suggestions.

Thanks

does it look fine when you boot the computer?
i believe it uses 'composite over s-video' but when entering Windows it switches to s-video (if thats been selected).
sounds like a problem with the cable, maybe.

Well I tried a different cable and even a different video card (3dfx voodoo 3000) and I still have the same problem. The TV works fine otherewise. I even hooked up both cards to a computer monitor and there is no problem there.

I have no other TV to try so I guess I am stuck either buying another TV or forking out some money for an arcade or computer monitor.
