Title: Cant exit mame game with maximus arcade :(

Ive tried the ESC button and even putting a delay on it and it just goes to either a black screen or it resets the game in another window.  Tried mapping to the END key and same thing.  IVe tried multiple button presses and same thing.

IS there a way to fix this problem so i dont have to ctrl+alt+del each time?  I dont want to use the keyboard to exit every game :(

hit control+p on your keyboard: controller, setup 1, you should be able to use esc or set it to something else if that doesn't work.

ohh another thing in the setup my stick is showing as joystick #3, not #1.

Thats what i just said.  ive tried 1 button presses even with delays and multiple presses and still no go.  i wonder if the above is the issue?  I want to map all my keys to my joystick and soon to be mame cabinet.

Im running windows xp 32bit and mame32 ver 0.90u1 and maximus 2.10 (no beta)

what kind of encoder are you using? it might be a ground problem, just guessing :dunno

encoder? you mean pcb inside the stick?  Im using something called the PS360.  But like i said it doesnt matter if its the keyboard or joystick, i cant quit the executable :(

If you get the black screen and just wait, does it return to maximus after a while (20 to 30 seconds)???

I'm just guessing, as I'm not sure but maybe its a focus issue.
Maybe there is a setting in Maximus that needs to be set to regain focus from the Mame executable over to Maximus?  :dunno

The exit has to be set within Maximus Arcade.  Use Ctrl P to get to preferences.  Do not use the separate Preferences program.  Select controler and then setup 1.   Set quit executable to the key that you want on your joystick.

got it!!!  thx guys!

now im stuck with some roms not working or files missing :(
