Title: Connecting old trackball to PC
Post by: 16bitcatholic on August 18, 2011, 07:33:13 pm
Total Noob question, so I do apologize if this sounds ridiculous. I did a search for trackball and couldn't find the answer to my specific question, but if I've missed it, I do apologize once again for being repetitive.

I was able to win a used trackball from ebay, one that was originally inside of a Centipede machine. I'm trying to build my own cocktail MAME cabinet, and I was curious if a trackball of that age would connect to Ultimarc's Optipac device? The web site says that it will connect to any optical wheel sensor system, but I have no idea if the trackball I've ordered fits that description.

Any advice or suggestions/answers are much appreciated. God bless!

The centipede trackball is a standard ans will connect easily to an optipac.
