There are definitely a bunch more vertical games that you can get. I've been doing alot of searching because the mame I'm building is a vertical 27".

Some real good vertical shooters to check out are:
Raiden
Sky Shark (one of my favs)
there are a bunch more, not to mention japanese ones.

I see you have Galaga '88, I realy like that game.
btw, Asteroids is not actually a spinner game, but I guess it could be kinda fun to play it that way.

Blasteroids *is* a spinner game.....
