Title: RESOLVED - News section on main index is messing with me
Post by: Ginsu Victim on August 16, 2011, 11:46:37 pm
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php)

The NEWS section (the second one) is constantly making the page move up and down when it changes advertisements, which makes clicking links a pain in the ass when you go to click it and it moves on you. I know this isn't the first time this has happened.

Thanks.

That happens if the ads are different sizes. However, all the ads in this case are exactly the same. Same size graphic, and exactly the same text. I can't duplicate the problem using IE, Firefox, or Chrome. Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Ginsu - what browser are you using? What screen resolution? Are your fonts larger than standard 100%, or have you scaled up the browser's display fonts?

Firefox (newest version), 1440x900, standard text size. Some of the ads are text only, so maybe ABP  is blocking some of them. I should set it to show all the ads and see how it does.

Adblockers on BYOAC make baby saint cry :)
Come on, Ginsu, throw the kid a bone and see the ads!

I said I should set it to show all. I'm usually not visiting sites thinking, "I should really turn the ads ON." I intend to turn 'em on and leave 'em on here.

Finally at my computer....it was ABP that was causing the problem. It was only blocking certain ones. I've now set ABP to show all ads here.
