Title: Player 2 Using a Gamepad
Post by: Woodshop Flunky on August 15, 2011, 10:38:45 pm
I've got a U360 and an iPac on my son's cabinet.  The control panel works fine like this for player one.  However, if I plug in a USB gamepad, then the gamepad will work, but the CP controls are all messed up.

Is there a way to force Windows/MAME to recognize the USB U360+iPac as player one always, and the gamepad as player two always?

Thanks.

A little more specific...

When I plug in the gamepad, the gamepad controls player one fine.  The U360 stick, however, now controls player two movement, and the CP buttons still affect player one.

Thanks.

I'm using Windows 7 and haven't seen an option like that.

I remember reading something about hard coding each controller with a unique USB identity.  Is this an option?  ...and how? :)

Search for Drventure's controller remap app, it was specifically for that problem, but it may have been for xp rather than 7.

I found this thread.  I'll have to check it out and see if it does what I need.
