A little obscure perhaps but when you want the obscure you post on BYOAC >:D
I want to launch Need for Speed 2 SE in 3DFX mode on my cabinet. Can I launch nGlide without invoking the config panel? I just want to run with a default set of options. There's only nglide_config.exe so perhaps there is a command line switch?
I've finally got Screamer Rally working in 3DFX DOSBox on the cabinet. I'm getting about 15 FPS though. Where NFS2SE delivers at least 30 FPS. Is it just the DOSBox overhead or is there an overhead interfacing with nGlide?

I'm not knowledgeable on the subject, but I downloaded SF Rush the Rock Alcatraz and it came packaged with Glidewrapper.
It looks like it will do what you want.

It lists NFS 2 SE as one of the pre-set games that you can have individual settings for.

Thanks, it looks like that software is designed for specific video cards but I'll give it a try. A post of Zeus software site revealed (http://www.zeus-software.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=292) (just in case anyone else is looking):
There is no need to invoke the control panel at all to start a game. Simply run the game. As long as nGlide is installed properly (or nGlides glide2x.dll is present in the games directory) everything should work fine.
If you want to run Glide games from the command line with specific settings look here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=275 (http://www.zeus-software.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=275)
nGlide Starter 0.97.0
Overview
nGlide Starter is a little console app that can be used to start any game with customized nGlide settings. Previous nGlide settings are restored after the game exits. By creating shortcuts (or writing batch files) that use nGlide Starter to launch your Glide games you can have different settings for each game without having to use the configuration utility every time. Additionally the program can be used to change nGlide settings permanently.
[EDIT] The nGlide Starter worked perfectly, though I now have some problems with the N64 emulator - I'm investigating its Glide settings.
Cabinets eh? Who'd 'ave em?
