I've been running Mala 1.05 as my front end now for over a year with no issues, but recently replaced the computer in my cabinet and am now having an annoying problem that I can't figure out. As a side note, I basically just copied and pasted my whole configuration onto the new box. As in my old computer, I've got it to auto-start with windows. The issue with the new computer is that when it loads with windows (which it does), mala is unresponsive with my controls (an x-arcade) until I shut Mala down and launch it again, or perform some other operation with the mouse (such as going into the options to change something).
Aside from the new computer being more powerful, it is also running Windows XP Media Centre edition (Service Pack 3) vs just plain old XP with SP2 on the old system.
Anybody else experience this problem, and if so, did you find a solution? I know that I should upgrade to the latest Mala but I just have not had the time to invest in that yet.

Looks like I solved my own problem, I'm not sure how I missed this the first time I googled it and searched this forum:

For me, it was a program that was running on startup (found via msconfig.exe) in the background that for some reason was causing Mala to lose and than regain focus sporadically. Weird issue, but removing it from the startup list solved everything.

With my AllInOne program you can press a button and give the focus to program MALA.
You could try it.
