Title: Upside down mounted LCD + Emulators questions
Post by: Knightlore on August 10, 2011, 07:07:41 pm
I've decided to mount my LCD upside down for the better viewing angle and was wondering if there are any emulators I'll run across that WON'T flip the screen.

I haven't had a chance to get round to the software side of things yet, so can't test myself and didn't find a post on it.

I know Mame will, but what about N64, SNES etc and normal PC games?

Upside down?  Like reverse with a mirror?

Upside down?  Like reverse with a mirror?

The opposite to the right way up, isn't that upside down? ???

Edit - sorry should have said, I mean the LCD is in a cocktail cabinet.

If you set your display settings in Windows for 180 degree rotation, all the emulators should run normally and it should display upside down (the way you want).

Ah okay brilliant, I thought perhaps some emulators may force it back to the original orientation or something.  Anyway, good to know - cheers.

Directdraw based stuff has problems with monitor rotation.  It will display an error

Sorry bit late to the reply, but this doesn't do anything.

Do I not need to set it in my graphics card options?  Also will it stay rotated when I next restart Windows?

Thanks

Edit - think I got it, Right click desktop>Orientation>Landscape(flipped) - is that all I need to do?

that too.

in windows (XP, Fista, and 7) that key combo will flip the display , it can also rotate if you hit the other directions (<,>,^)
