how i would do it...
please note i live in canada where the standard electrical conductors is white/black/green
i believe:
brown=black (our hot or live)
blue=white (our neutral)
green=green (ground)
i have labeled the hot(live)/neutral/ground connections in case i'm incorrect.

Worked great! Thanks :cheers:

Brilliant, thanks for this - I've been searching the web like crazy for some info on wiring up a switched IEC socket, nothing seems to exist! Assuming that this is a DPST switch, am I right in thinking that for increased safety you can also feed the neutral wire through the other two switch tabs?

Yeah,
as long as its a 2 pole, you can also switch the neutral.

That's great, thanks a lot!
