Hey guys,
Im having two problems that are driving me nuts, I've scoured though the options and can't seem to find a solution.
1) I have Mala setup to start and automatically run a game when the computer turns on. Now everything works according to plan, computer boots up.....Mala then starts and the game is automatically running. Probably 15 seconds into the game running, the entire screen minimizes and you see the entire desktop with MAME minimized. Any ideas on why its minimizing?
2) I can scroll through the game lists and choose a game........game starts up everything is good. Now when I exit the game and return into the GUI of mala I can no longer scroll through the game lists. I have to LEFT CLICK the mouse one time and then I can resume scrolling through the list. Any ideas on how to eliminate the need to click one time?

Are you running command line based or 32-bit MAME? Do you have the same issue when you run MAME outside of Mala or do your games run normally? Do you have any other unnecessary applications or processes running in the background? I had some issues (unrelated) that were resolved by creating a batch file that killed the explorer.exe process, then launched the mala.exe. To reload Windows, I set Mala to launch explorer.exe on exit. If MAME runs as advertised outside of Mala, maybe this solution would work for you, too?
On your other issue, I'd be willing to bet it is related to your first issue. Make sure everything works properly outside of Mala first.

Everything is running smoothly outside of MALA. I've eliminated all unnecessary programs running in the background so I don't believe that is the issue. Funny thing is MALA is no longer minimizing on the startup.......I have no idea why it stopped doing that. The second problem still remains.....after exiting a game and going into the MALA menu I have to click the mouse 1 time in order for it to work.

Sorry to drudge this up but has anyone found a fix for this? Im having the same issue. Everytime i play a game and exit back to mala i have to left click my mouse to be able to select a game. My assumption is that mala is getting pushed to the background for some reason and left click is used to bring it to the front again. anyhow i hate it and dont want it to do that anymore.
Im using mala 1.74 and mameui32 instead of command line. This set up worked about a month ago with a different mother board.I used to have to click left mouse initially..but that was it..after that everything was fine. Now every time i play a game and exit back to mala i have to left click again.

There are several things to try. loadman was even looking for testers in the thread too. What I did in mine was have a AHK script, so that every time you hit the exit key, the AHK script also sends a left click. But others have had success with other methods too. See the above thread.
