Look what the office building across the street had in the trash. No screen burn no yellow bezels just nice clear pictures.

So many offices and even schools throw away perfectly good stuff. It is really sad. I am glad you got to snag it before it landed in the dump.

What are they 15"s ? Good for bartops or caberet's I guess. Maybe even a cocktail.

integrate the buttons into your bartop..sure, you couldn't move them later, but it'll be cool! :)
As for garbage, i always find old doughnuts in the trash by my house. They just throw em away! imagine that!

I was walking home from work the other day and came accross two Dell Optiplex P3 500Mhz machines sitting out for the trash - the exact same machines that I've put in cocktail tables.
I had intended to give them a good home but by the time I came back with my truck it was raining pretty hard so I didn't bother with them. :(
About a month ago I found a perfectly good P2 333Mhz system (with monitor) waiting for the trashman. Not sure if I'll end up using it for anything, but its amazing what people throw out when they're moving homes.
PS> I know what you're thinking and the answer is no, I don't go around trawling through my neighbours trash collecting whatever useful/unsoiled items I can find. :P

I found a magnavox big screen TV (42" i believe) next to a dumpster last week. I think it needs the heat transfer fluid in the green CRT replaced, then a convergence job (which I'm gonna try myself... GOOD LUCK ME) and then it should work great. So all in all i think i'm gonna spend about 25 bucks and 20 million hours of work and I should get a working big screen!
