Title: CAN'T GET ZINC TO RUN IN MAXIMUS....???
Post by: kennyg on August 02, 2011, 01:21:32 am
hey guy's. just like alot of other people, i can't get zinc to run in my system. i have added many emulators over time and have had very little problems getting them to run in maximus. for some reason zinc just will not run. i can play them out of maximus just fine with the zenith-fe for zinc but no luck in maximus. i have followed the zinc  tutorial on here a few times with the same old results. the game list shows up o.k. but when i select a game the screen goes black & nothing else happens. i've been trying for 2 weeks now and i am out of options.......PLEASE HELP!!!!

I had the same problem.... BUT, it's been so long I can't remember how to fix it.  I was able to get it to work... the only thing left for issue, was the games didn't launch correctly... meaning, if you selected Mr. Driller, you got another game that loaded up.

I will dig around and see if I can remember how to get the black screen issue to go away.

by the way, i am using my mame roms for zinc. do i need specific zinc roms for it to work in maximus? i'm assuming they are the same.

Sorry for the delay on response.

I'm actually using ZINC roms... so I think this is what you need.

I did get MA to launch zinc ok and show list of games without the black screen, etc... BUT like I mentioned before... I select one game, and it loads another.....  So I'm not 100% on this yet.

I know Delusional was pretty good at MA.  He was a forum moderator there too.
