Title: WinVICE and Key Mapping
Post by: vanrose72 on July 31, 2011, 02:56:35 pm
Found a solution on my own. Thanks for reading!

I'm working on setting up WinVICE for my arcade cabinet but still have no idea about remapping the keyboard so that I can use pushbuttons in place of common C64 keyboard keys.

I have a created a new keyset file, but I'm unsure how to reassign the keys.

You should post the solution you found, I am looking for something similar. Basically, a few C64 games use function keys to start game, select players, etc and I would love to remap them to '5' and '6' on my panel for example. However, VICE uses a native complete keyboard emulation setup, rather than mapping individual keys which makes it difficult to change just a couple of keys around.
