Title: RCA CR-111 WT-333A Manual
Post by: RejectedManiac on July 30, 2011, 05:39:12 pm
Hello everyone! I ended up buying a RCA CR-111 WT-333A tube test/rejuvenator that has not manuals at all and have looked online fore places that have them for sell but can't seem to find it. I have a 2 day warranty. After the warranty I am stuck with it working or not. Can someone please help me find this manual?  :(
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Move accordingly.

Thanks in advance

i'll have to say alot of testers generally follow the same procedure for testing and rejuvenation, sometimes they have a few extra dials and things thrown in there.

the b&k is the most popular brand. its the one i have. it also seems to be a pretty concise guide to testing here: http://www.bkprecision.com/support/downloads/pdfs/CRT_Setup_Chart.pdf (http://www.bkprecision.com/support/downloads/pdfs/CRT_Setup_Chart.pdf)

it also has tube info and is relatively up to date.

turn all the dials down to zero and start with your mode selection switch at the heater position.

the only part that is probably different would be setting up the cutoff. there may be someplace on the meter that says what to do. (mine actually has a mark and the text "cutoff one division")

go to a used equipment place or recycle center or search alleyways behind apartments and grab yourself a cheap TV or computer monitor... try it out a few times. you will find after you get over your nerves, and get used to the machine, its really no big deal.

Thanks for the reply. Here is a guy using a WT-333b. RCA CRT Tester CR-III WT-333B (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erDVlMjGywk#) Does this seem familiar to you? Let me know. He shows how to do a simple test but I also wanted to know how to use the other features of the tester EX. Rejuvenation, etc. I still haven't found a tv old enough for this thing. It looks like it may have been manufactured in & around 1975. Tried to find a socket with my tester and none of them fit on any of the tubes I have. It'd be great to make one for modern tubes but don't know where to start. I have sockets 1-10 & 12 missing 11 and not sure if there were sockets after 12.
By the way the guys tester looks exactly like mine in the video.

I appreciate the help and will read over the manual you passed along.
