I was out shopping with my kid for sneakers at Kohls and came across a -$20 off sale as well:

For those behind crappy firewalls, here is the ad that Dervacumen linked to:

Nice.
It's even better with the dorky reindeer "say what?" right above the ad.

I haven't bought from Tiger Direct in a few years. Are they still screwing people out of their rebates or are they better?
Excluding the big pile of dickaround that is a sale like this.

Ditto. New Egg all the way for most tech stuff now. Awesome C.S.

I still avoid Tiger Direct unless they clearly the cheapest by a marginal amount. The recent rebates I used through them did come in, but I am still skiddish about every rebate from them. It's standard procedure for me to check Tiger Direct prices before most newegg purchases. I'm cheap. :dunno

I guess I'm lucky. I've never applied for a rebate and not received it. From any vendor, ever, including TigerDirect. Not that I've applied for tons of them, maybe only 30 or so in my lifetime.

Newegg is great for prices. Their return policy is harsh and their rebates are nearly as unreliable as Tiger Direct's but less sneaky about it. I've had a couple that had openly contradictory requirements, only obvious after you bought the item, and customer service would basically say too bad so sad about it. Stuff like having to send the original proof of purchse off the box (not a copy) to multiple locations.

I've never had any problems with Tigerdirect, and tend to order from them and Newegg about equally.
