Title: J-Pac issue
Post by: swoon on July 23, 2011, 05:12:14 pm
Hi,

I just installed my Mame cabinet using a J-Pac on a Windows XP -SP2 machine. Mala Front-end and Soft 15Khz
System boots into Mala fine, however 95% of the times I need to unplug and reinsert the J-Pac USB cable in order to get the controls working. (Video is fine. All leds on the J-Pac are lit)

Windows comes up that the USB device is not working properly, after reinserting the USB plug it reports the device as working correctly.

Is this a known issue? Anybody knows a solution?
On the other hand, is there a tool or script that I can run on Mala startup that resets the USB devices so the J-Pac gets initialised correctly? (Or are there any j-Pac drivers?)

Thanks!

Have you tried plugging it into a different USB port? Try it and see if it still happens

Hi,

I just uninstalled the device and had it reinstalled.
Seems to work fine up until now :)

Thanks!
