Hey all,
I'm using a mini-pac and planned on adding a SpinTrak eventually, birthday is coming up, so was going to have somebody get me one, but it's out of stock at Ultimarc. I don't want to go USB, and I'd like to connect to the existing mini-pac, am I locked into the SpinTrak as my spinner option, or are there other options for me?
Also, I don't have any spinner experience, so feedback on the SpinTrak is appreciated. Looking to play basic spinner games such as Tempest, maybe tron, and potentially use as a steering wheel where possible.
Thoughts? Thanks.

Bump for feedback?

I have used the tornado & spintrak both are good spinners

I've got the older spintrak (the newer one looks much more streamlined), I also picked up the larger spin knob and the flyweight.
I really like the way it works, and having it USB makes it very simple to get working with games.

Follow-up question as the SpinTrak is back in stock:
Do I want a fly-weight added? I have no idea, looking to use with Arkanoid, Tempest, maybe Tron, and other Spinner type games though I can't think of too many at the moment. Sounds like fly-weight slows down the spin and doesn't let it spin forever. Should I play it safe and get with smal fly-weight?
Hurm...

I got the small flywieght and I like the way it feels. The heavier the weight, the more force will be required to spin it, but the longer it'll spin on it's own.
Since most games don't require you to start the knob spinning and let it go, I went with the "easier to twist one way and then the other".
But games that had geared wheels probably required more force on the knob to spin it, hence the option for the large flywheel.
You could always buy small, and then glue a big nut to it if it's too light ;)
