Title: Introducing: JoyChoose plugin
Post by: DaOld Man on July 19, 2011, 10:42:16 am
New plugin available for down load at malafe.net.

JoyChoose is a plugin designed to work with Mala to automatically switch your joystick between 8, 4, and 2 way.
You must add the proper hardware to your joystick to actually switch it. JoyChoose tells your hardware which joystick position to switch to, based on what the selected game used.
If you would like to learn how to do this, this link will get you started:

Thank you so much for this. Just got a pair of ServoStiks (for my space invaders table) and added your plug-in to mala. Works perfect.

good day.

This looks really cool.

I tried to follow the links regarding hardware but I'm a bit confused. Does your software plugin require Servo Joysticks then?
An Ultimarc U360 won't cut it right? Just trying to clarify.

The plug in saves the time of adding command line entries to each game within mala. It should work fine with the 360's.

good day.

Not unless you've modified them with motorized 4/8 way switching that can be triggered via command line.

To be clear(er), this app was in anticipation of those making their own mechanically switchable restricted joysticks. And the Servostik is a recently released product that is complemented by this app.
