Anyone have any suggestions on how to pretty this up? I was trying to mount the pc speaker board with the volume knob and headphone jack to my control panel. I tried to cut a piece of plexi with a black paper backing, but it is too thick and prevents the knob from being mounted on the potentiometer.
In hind sight...I should have planned more...

you could get a hole saw and cut a whole in the plexi big enough for the knob to stick partially through. Or, my prefered option, de-solder the pot from the board very carefully and use the nut and probably lock washer to secure it to the plexi, using wires to attatch it back to the board. Also get some panel mount audio jacks, or extend the existing jacks and hot glue them to the plexi from the back.

You could cut your panel from thin aluminum instead of plexi to give you more space to mount your knob.
