Do you know of any online resources for this kind of thing?

Just something simple to overlay on a treasure chest graphic.

Do you have more information? What size? Transparent swf? Can it also be .avi or .mov? Which version of flash? Can it also be a sparkle on top of the chest?

something small and simple like these, solid sparkle with transparent outer, suitable for overlaying on an existing bitmap.

OK, I'll make a .swf of the multiple star animation, but I have to do that tomorrow. Do you like the colors this way? And is the size ok?

Colours looks very nice, the size might be a little large (although .swf files are vector in nature and should scale well, I think!)

I want to use the animation on top of the treasure chest graphic (bottom right)

You have a real flare for this, is there any chance of a brief tutorial on creating something like this, highlighting what tools you used etc?
