I have a wells gardner 25 inch monitor in a midway cab and when I play for a few hours the red on the screen gradually gets brighter till its blairing red all over the screen. It takes about 2-3 hours till it gets super bright red. Any ideas? would a cap kit fix this?

sounds like a bad red transistor on the smaller board attached to the end of the picture tube. AKA "neck board" or "neck card"
it gets hot, then it shorts causing the red to go full on... if you shut it off for 10 or 15 minutes it behaves normally until it heats back up again yes no?? it's a pretty easy job even for someone with a little soldering experience.

it goes back to normal when it cools down. I know what transistor ur talkin about. I had a blue one go out on my Killer instinct 2 arcade. Thanks for the info. Ill replace it and see what happens
