I've got a Happ 3" trackball, everything has been cleaned and checked for bent/missing encoders etc. This is on a friends cab. When playing Centipede or Missile Command for example, if spun hard in one direction there is a reversing of direction in a jittering manner. I've played with the sensitivity settings in the analog and turned it down to 35% (from 50%) and that eliminates it, but I remember being able to fly from one side on the screen to the other. Now it almost seems to crawl. Anyway to speed it up? It is also version .083 of Mame on a Win95 setup if that matters. Anyone?

What sort of interface is between the tb and the pc?
-
I think that's a mouse polling rate issue in the os

I believe it's a 1st gen opti-pac.
Mouse polling is for the speed, correct? Anyway to increase it, or do I have to go with an updated os like xp should take care of it hopefully.

I think there is some info in the wiki on it here (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Info_on_Serial/PS2/USB_Mouse_%27Polling%27)
there is a little program for xp that changes the polling rate
not sure about 95
oh wait, an optipac you say, why not e-mail Andy at Ultimarc and ask him, he might have so info for you
