Hey guys, I just wanted to know what your favorite arcade racing games are?
I'm on the verge of buying one for my collection and l have been holding out for a Crusin Exotica or Curisn World - but now l'm starting to think that a San Fransisco rush would be pretty sweet too...
So what are your favorite arcade racers, and what do you think about San Fransisco Rush vs Crusin in a death match, which one's better and why?

I've got a pole position cockpit and 2 sf rush's and love both games. My heart prefers pole position but overall I have to give it to sf rush. Get a pair if you can. Linked racing is so much fun. The rush's get constant play in my gameroom - virtually everyone likes playing it. Even my dad who is the exact opposite of a gamer enjoys it.
That said, I haven't had enough exposure to some of the other games mentioned to give a comparison.

Virtua Racing. I really like the 3D graphics in that first true 3D racer. If a 3DS or WiiU game looked like that we would still applaud for its graphics

In order of era:
Outrun deluxe cockpit
Hard Driving cockpit
Sega Daytona

Just because the Cruis'n series was popular doesn't mean it was good.
I find the controls sloppy (real or emulated), especially compared to games like Daytona.
The gameplay also becomes boring fairly quick.
If the choice is between Cruis'n and SF Rush, definitely go for SF Rush.
On my pc based driving cab, the games I never tire of are Ridge Racer 2 and Outrun 2:SP.
(my computer isn't fast enough to play SF Rush)
The Ridge Racer cab is a behemoth. I wouldn't want it in my gameroom.

Pole position for single player.
Super off-road for multiplayer.
I also love non-traditional driving games like APB, Lucky and Wild, Crazy Taxi, Spy Hunter and Rally-X.
As far as Cruisn vs SF rush....it is tough....Crusin had a sort of "theme fun". Even if the games were not the greatest control wise, it held itself up well at the time. SF rush was a game you could sink your teeth into a bit more as a serious game. I would probably go with a crusn because it is so recognizable as THE racing game of that era.

That's my favorite 360 degree wheel game of all time, maybe because I played it a lot as a kid.
I still get the music from it stuck in my head sometimes.

I spent alot of cash on ManxTT, was more partial to motorbikes when i was younger. Favorite racing game on home based systems was Honda RVF on my AtariST

Id love to have a Cruisn USA or Daytona USA, I'd prolly play Cruisn more, its one of the reasons I rebought an N64
A pole position would be pretty sweet too. I never could get into SF Rush, just not my cup of tea. I'd love to have 8 Daytona USA's linked with 7 other people to play with.

Pole Position II

I've played a 6 seat setup in my friend's basement. It's fun, but boy does it take up a lot of space!
