I was playing some Mahjong game on my laptop and my 6 year old daughter was loving it. I then remembered that I had seen some mahjong games on my Mame cab, but I couldn't remember the specific name, so I did a MAWS search. What I came up with was something that I was not familiar with. The games had mahjong in the title but they looked a lot like casino game. :banghead:
What I am looking for is the stacked shapes of tiles that you remove a pair at a time. It would be a big hit with my two little ones. thanks. I have seen them but cant seem to find them regardless of search.

Theres bazillions of mahjong and the like games if you get a full set of roms.

Those mahjong games are real mahjong not the tile matching type. I have not seen the tile matching type in MAME but I stay away from anything that is titled mahjong. Most of the tile matching tile games are PC based but there might be one in MAME but my lists filter out anything called mahjong.

What you want is Shanghai and Shanghai III by Sunsoft. I don't know if either of them have been emulated.

I have definitely seen one or two in Mame that are matching tile PC style mahjong games. I will take a look and see if I can find them, and report back.
Update:
Ok, so I took a look, and found a ton.
The following list of games are moderately pervy? I don't know who these are being marketed to. My mom loves this kind of Mahjong. I think all moms do. They don't likes the boobs so much.
Sichuan 2
One + Two
Maya
Match it
Inca
Dragon World (1, 2 and 3)
Double point
These don't seem to be pervy, and I know there was another I played but I couldn't find it
Toride 2
Shanghai (1, 2 and 3)
Janpai Puzzle Cjoukou
Hasamu
Black Touch
