Finger touch screens, or do they need a stylus? I have a Toshiba that is like that, and I love it.......but it has a digitizer touch screen that requires a special stylus.
-
Stylus, doesn't need to be special tho' any stylus will do. I use a mechanical pencil, a BIC, lead retracted of course. Yeah these are great! Selling fast here in town, get 'em while I got 'em! ARCADIAC!

What did you update on it?
-
ummm windows :o
-
Another good point for anyone looking at these for business use-- the tablet edition of windows on them CAN join a domain.
A few minutes after pulling ours out of the box it was on the domain and pulling updates from our local WSUS server. Ftw.

Windows 7 or just Windows Update?
-
just windows update, as sold these will not run windows 7, win 7 is req min of 1gb of ram, these have 512 I'm sure it could be made to run on it, but it would be less then happy to do so

Cool. Thanks for the info. I bought a couple, but haven't had a chance to try them out yet.
How long is the Battery life on these?
-
Actually for grins, I loaded Win 7 ultimate on one. Works fine, even found and let me calibrate the touchscreen. BTW if anyone wants these, contact me soon, they're selling well here and locally so move on it if you'd like one! ARCADIAC! pooh9558atgmail.com

What sort of performance can one expect playing 720p mkv files? I can see myself using it as a portable pc but if it can double as a portable video player I'd buy one.
-
it will run it pretty good with 512 ram, it loads slow but once it does it play's just fine.
-
I Waited to post this till after I got it and tested it, but for those that bought this here is a 2gb ram upgrade it works great and makes this little machine that could just abit more snappier.

What kind of battery life are you guys getting on these?
-
i havn't done a timed test, but mine came with the 6cell extended life battery, i'm getting 5.5-6hrs or so.
-
They will all come with extended cells, I can't time each of them, too many. However, I do check that each takes a full charge check the battery indicator in the taskbar to see the windows energy estimate. Mine does somewhere between 4-6 hours depending on use. ARCADIAC!
