Title: How Do I wire Konami 4player 3 button control board to JPac/iPac2???
Post by: C4N3 on June 29, 2011, 12:53:03 pm
I have an Konami X-Men 4 player cab that is working perfectly. I'd like to get a JAMMA Switcher (if it will work with this model) and add a MAME PC to the mix. I would need to use the original 4 player controls and buttons. I have read that you can do this with an Ultimarc JPac and iPac2, but have not seen any instructions or explanation of HOW to do this. If you can help or provide any experience this would be really helpful, because this will determine whether I go forward with this or not. Thanks!

I would imagine you need to use the ipac Windows Configuration tool for the ipac 2 to configure it as player 3 and 4 instead of 1 and 2. And the jpac would recognize the first and second player as normal.

I could and very well could be completely wrong. But I could have swore thats how someone did it for a simpsons or tmnt cab....

Does the Konami 4player Cabinet use the same standard size JAMMA connector even though it has 4 player? A how-to on this would be really appreciated. Thanks!

X men uses a separate harness for player 3 and 4.  They do not go thru the jamma connector.  Basically your player 3 and 4 controls would be wired to the ipac2 and it would be programmed for the player 3 and 4 defaults for mame.

BobA, Thank you!

That manual really helps. I think I will be able to figure out how to do this now!
