Title: Custom Monitor Bezel
Post by: Woodshop Flunky on June 23, 2011, 01:48:56 pm
I'm going to go way out here...

Does anyone have any experience with vacuum forming?  I have several sheets of ABS plastic with haircell texture on one side.  I would like to produce a monitor bezel for the CRT PC monitor I decased.

I've read about it, and I have a process in my head that I think will work.  However, it certainly seems like a LOT to bite off.

Anyone tackle something like this before?

Or you could just do this:

2 dolla bezel (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=17175.0)

I think I've run across this guy before, but at this point in my build, I don't think I can justify the expense (if I can do something myself).

Thanks.  If the ABS doesn't pan out... I'll likely end up with something like this. :)
