Title: No more Invisible Joystick Brackets?
Post by: s_busby_uk on June 23, 2011, 03:54:24 am
Hi everyone,

Confessed newbie and first time poster, I'm curious as to whether or not the Invisible Joystick Brackets posted about on this forum and a few sites are still available and where from, or if there's an alternative out there one can buy? I intend to make my first cabinet and was considering sing the no-holes metal control panel used on various cabinets out there, such as on Project Mames Taitorama.

Apologies if this has been answered - I did do a forum search but couldn't find any more about it!

Thanks in advance,
Simon

Hi Simon, welcome :)

If you get stuck for some I can always make you some acrylic ones to bond to the bottom of your metal CP. There are a couple of examples of the ones I have done in [this (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=112285.0)] thread.

I'm in the UK too ;)

You can try contacting lokesen. He's the member who was making and selling them. He may still have some left to sell.

Wow that would be amazing! Can the acrylic mounts withstand a good joystick battering?

I'm still sorting out exactly what I need to do so will get back to you. I may yet opt for a wooden control panel but the one used for the Taitorama looks so cool! Currently making my way through the bible (aka Project Arcade: Build Your Own Arcade Machine) and can't remember being this excited about... well, frankly anything! This is going to be fun.

Encryptor: thanks for the tip. Will give him a shout...
