Hello,
I'm using a Philips 27" SDTV that has S-video in and RGB Component in.
Using a 9500GT that came with both S-video out and Component out adapters.
The S-Video out works fine.
The Component out works fine in safe mode, looks GREAT! But as soon as nvidia drivers load the
screen is just scrolling colors.
I was using latest Nvidia drivers but uninstalled them and let windows install a driver. That didn't change anything.
Any suggestions?

most older TV's with component aren't progressive scan compatible. my tv that i use in the bedroom has component and if i try to feed it 480P or 720P progressive scan video it gets all doubled and scrolly, but a standard 480I or 720I video that is interlaced works fine.
you will have to see if you can output just interlaced video to use the component.

Trick is how to get Nvidia driver to put out 480i. Safe mode works just fine.

Got it to work. Still seems to occasionally resize desktop on reboots.
I used 185.21 Win7-64 driver.
I had TV hooked up with Component out from 9500GT
I had a LCD monitor hooked up to the DVI
In Nvidia I set up multiple display, it showed my SDTV as an HDTV. I set the component to 480i.
It would not let me change resolution below 720x480 in Nvidia control panel. I went to the windows default
(change resolution) menu and it allowed me to change it to 640x480. I then shut down, disconnected the LCD
and rebooted into windows with component video at 640x480. :)

Just did a test run with Daphne and DL. It was awesome!
But alas, I may be forced to go S-Video for the simple fact that Nvidia Control Panel will not remember my screen resize settings on reboot. ???

Solved the resize issue on reboots.
Did the following
Start > Run > MSCONFIG > Services.
- Click "Hide all Microsoft services"
- uncheck NVIDIA Display Driver Service.
Click Apply and reboot.
Hasn't affected anything other than keeping my desktop from resizing. :applaud:
Read this fix on the nvidia forums

Close! They dont have the 185.21 driver, in fact nvidia doesnt have it anywhere either. I found 185.81 on nvidia's site and it works just peachy. You even have to do the thing to stop the nvidia service from starting.
Daytona looks better on the sony tube with component over svideo , I might roll the dice tomorrow and see if I can get 800x600 working. I played a game of daytona usa but its hard with the monitor on the floor, lol
Even if I cant get 800x600 working the sony is going to replace the RCA thats in there now, the screen has a pretty bad scratches on it (it was my sister's old TV). I stop rambling in here and update my project thread (eventually)
