Title: Working on Software phase of my cabinet build, emu advice?
Post by: Indyplumber on June 18, 2011, 09:49:59 am
I'm spending this weekend working on my pc build and software.

I'm using an MSI 760G Motherboard with an Athlon II 3.0ghz dual core AM3 CPU.
Also 4GB DDR3 ram and a EVGA 1GB 9500GT with TV RGB out to a Philips 27" TV.

OS will be Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

I'm planning on testing between MALA and Maximus this weekend to see which one I like.
Other than MAME and Daphne I need to know which EMU's are solid for the following systems:

Sega Genesis
NES
N64
Atari 2600
Commodore 64

Thanks!

Here is what I run, and seems to work well:

Sega Genesis - Fusion (also does SMS, SegaCD, and 32X)
NES - Nestopia or FCEUX
N64 - I haven't found one that I'm happy with.  PJ64 is probably the best bet at this point.  MESS made some good progress a few months ago, but it just hit a wall.
Atari 2600 - Stella
Commodore 64 - VICE

Okay!  Thanks for the reply!
I will research these further.
