I recently gained ownership of a pair of defunct cabs. After several weeks of cleaning and research, I'm still stumped as to what this originally was... When I got it, it had been outfitted with a Kid Niki conversion kit. I thought it might be an Asteroids Deluxe cabinet, but the dimensions don't work out according to another post on the forum, and the top of all of the AD cabs I've seen has a downward angle above the marquee art. Mine has a straight horizontal cut. I'm wondering if this may have been a different construction run, or a game with a similar style. Any help would be awesome!

Well I can confirm which similar cabs it's also not: Warlords and Night Driver.
Any markings or hints inside? What brand coin door?

It could be an Exidy cabinet. ie: Venture or Pepper II ...

The downward angle on AD is an optional antiglare kit. The originals had a straight cut.
It does look like RayB nailed it, though.

Thanks very much! RayB, you're absolutely right. I got to cleaning some of the Data East contact paper from the CP today, and I can see the remainder of some of the color pattern from the original Venture overlay, as well as the covered holes for the 1p and 2p cone buttons.
I really appreciate the help!

Off topic but I've been looking for Kid Niki parts. Do you care to get rid of yours? ;D

I have the marquee art and bezel, they are both in fairly decent shape, nothing cherry. The marquee art has a few scratches on it. I'll get some pics on and measurements Monday when I make it back to the workshop. The PCB is still in perfect working order. I have the monitor, though that has some significant burn-in. I also have the original user's manual for the conversion kit. The controls and wiring harnesses were in shambles when I got the machine, so that stuff is out the window. Umm I do have the power supply and some other random guts. What are you interested in?

For now I'm looking at the marquee, bezel, PCB and perhaps the manual. The measurements would help too. Thanks!!
