Nice work! I've been scouring CL for a decent buy on an old (as in 1920's, early 30's vintage) radio that doesn't actually work, (I'd hate to destroy a working model).

Found one that was close, but they wanted 250$. Granted, probably couldn't get the wood needed to build it for that, but still....

Anyway, very nice builds!

Very nice work. I love the mix of classic style with newer technology.
Very well done  :applaud:

Nice job. The last one is my favorite. I like how the screen is part of the shape of the radio rather than protruding out the top.

I love all of them.  I just finished my first juke which was converting a late 80s Rowe Juke.  My wife hates it and has asked me to do a vintage radio conversion instead.  I picked up this Philco today for free and was wondering if you had any tips to share with refinishing the wood.  I have never done a wood refinishing job like this and don't really care to just start sanding away if I might really mess something up.  Any info you want to share would be wonderful.

That doesn't need refinishing.  I bet that will clean up pretty nicely the way it is.  Worst it might need is a little bit of touchup near the bottom but honestly I'd say clean it up, wax/polish it, and leave it be.
