Title: Dual 15/17 inch monitors as marquee?
Post by: korbitz on June 11, 2011, 11:54:36 am
Just wondering if anyone has tried this and if so any links available, if not just wondering what the cons could be, i know there will be a minor gap between them, but if decased this would be a maximum of say 1 inch, on a 26 inch width cab a small portion, ideas? thoughts?

Heres a sketchup drawing of my plans

I have decased one 17 inch and at present it would sit, 5 inches above my cab (not excessive), width wise would put it roughly 1/1.5 inches over the width of the cab, again not excessive

I was also wondering is this monitor will be good enough as my primary display

I just mounted a 24" monitor in mine...

WIll be writing a program to automagically display the correct marquee in there.

I think having it would look weird because your marquee area would be larger than your primary screen.

It can and has been done.  I know Randy T used a wide screen monitor as a marquee.  Do a search on the forums to find it

Is that for the 24" or the 2 monitors?

The two monitors.  It would look weird having dual 17 inchers for a marquee if your primary screen area is a 19 inch

Yeah, you have a point, after resizing the marquee in sketchup to match a 17 inch monitor size it does look abit overkill, will need to do some more research into this, cheers.
