Title: Wiring LED lights Help
Post by: jcutler0902 on June 11, 2011, 09:53:38 am
Good morning,

I am interested in wiring up some LED lights on the outside of my cabinet as an accent light.

I bought a 36" flex led strip from my local auto parts store.

It says it connects to 12v.  My question is where can I find a 12v line in my CPU?

You guys gave some great advice about wiring 5v for a coin door.

Thanks
Jason

You can use a black and yellow wire from your pc power supply unit.

Yellow=12V
Black=Ground

12V is yellow off your computer's power supply. Red is 5V and black is ground.

Edit: Too slow.
