Title: Laminate Sheet Suggestions
Post by: Mrephunk on June 05, 2011, 05:35:30 pm
I am looking into how to side parts of my cab, and need some help. I am having full side art and cpo printed out, but am wondering what to do to the other exposed parts of my cab. I was thinking of going with laminate but not sure where to get it, and at a good price. I was also thinking of painting it but not sure which would look better, seeing as I am not the best spray painter. Also not sure what paint I should use if I do. I am trying to keep costs down, so any ideas would be great thanks.

May want to check this thread along with whatever others suggest:

(Depending on your country/location, of course.)

In my opinion, you can't beat laminate for a nice finish. I used Formica brand black and I am very happy with it. It's a perfect finish for sideart or for keeping plain.
But if you're trying to keep down cost, it is a fair amount cheaper to paint with Rustoleum Satin black.

I just laminated my cab last weekend with black Wilsonart... looks great, but be sure to wear gloves when you're working with it.  Laminate will give you the mother of all "paper cuts" if you aren't careful (and I wasn't).

Check here to see if there's a Wilsonart distributor near you, much cheaper than ordering through Home Depot:
