Title: IPAC needs to reprogrammed after each reboot
Post by: DeeGor on May 30, 2011, 12:00:42 pm
I'm having an odd issue where my IPAC forgets the custom keys I have programmed on the IPAC after a reboot.  This IPAC has worked fine for years, and the only difference is I recently upgraded to Windows 7 on my cabinet.

Has anyone else run into this issue, and how were you able to solve it?

I did some more testing and it looks like the programming survives a reboot.  I thought it was a reboot, because every time I turned the cabinet on in the morning, the keys were back to their default settings.

Did you buy the VE edition.  It needs to be reprogrammed after a power down of the PC if you use a custom code set.  The regular MAME codes are held.

No, It's not the VE edition.  It was working fine for a few years, and now that I've upgraded, I'm having these problems.

Check with Andy at Ultimarc if you upgraded.  He may be able to help.
