I need some help again guys. My wiring skills are nonexistent. I have 22 Ultralux buttons with LEDs that I want to wire into my LED-wiz. I read some other topics and it is still confusing. I think I hook the short end of the of the LED into the numbered ports. 1. Can I daisy chain the long ends into the +5v output?
Also, I've read that I will need to get extra power directly from the computer. 2. Does this mean that I do not have to hook up the USB wire? 3. Which wire can I splice on the computer to get this? 4. How does the external ground work or more precisely, does each LED/ultralux button need to be grounded? 5. Where is a good place to ground the LED-wiz to?
You guys have always been really helpful. Thanks so much.

Yes. The short end of the LED would normally be the cathode (-), so this would go to the LED-Wiz outputs. You can daisy chain the +5v to your LEDs.

To use external power, you would ignore the +5v line on the LED-Wiz and connect it directly to the red wire of an unused drive power connector inside your PC. Ideally, you should also connect that wire to the "Bank Voltage Select" terminals, before daisy chaining it to your LEDs. You still need to use the USB connection so your computer can communicate with the LED-Wiz to tell it what to do withe devices connected to it. That should be enough to get you up and running.

Last bit of help: I am was told I could take the +5v from one of the unused expansion (as in for a DVD rom or floppy drive) slots on the computer. Looking at them, they are 2 black wires, a red, and a yellow all hooked into a 4pin connector. Which wire can I splice into (black, red, or yellow)?
Thanks guys
