Title: can mala do screen captures?
Post by: Garetmax on May 22, 2011, 06:20:27 pm
Hi,

I want to get screenshots for the ones I'm missing.

Does Mala have an option to do this and save them as the Rom name?

I posted in the software forum and evidently Maximus Arcade can do this.

Thanks,
Scott

yup when your in the game just press f12 or f11? forget witch one and it will take a snap and put it in your snap folder and already have it named to the rom.

Is that just for mame or is this a Mala option?

I'm looking for a non-mame solution for my other emulators.

My computer just had a major crash today and now Windows won't load so I won't be able to test right away.

I'm on my phone typing right now.

Thanks

i believe its a mala, because you can also take a short video to. have not touched it in awhile because been working with hyperspin.

I got my computer running again.

I tried f9, f10, f11, f12 and it didn't work.

Is there somewhere in Mala to activate this or to change the key for it?

Thanks,
Scott

In mame its f12 to save a screenshot. It will save it in the directory shots.
Maybe some versions differ to what f key it is. Hit tab, user interface to find out if that is true or not.

Most emulators have this function as well but some you will have to define where to put the screenshots in the GUI of that emulator and not mala.

Hope that helps
