Title: Windows drive died now having issues with new windows setup
Post by: darkomen64 on May 19, 2011, 02:48:31 pm
Ok.. Like title says my main windows drive died on me.. no real big deal keep all my stuff on my d drive except windows.. so i just had to slap another drive in and install windows and then tweak windows (remove bubbles/login/shell to hyperspin/ect) but this time around i ran into a slight problem..

I use a multimedia keyboard to control the sound.. its hidden inside the CP and just open it up to adjust the sound with the volume buttons. worked fine before the HD die.. now after setting up the new drive patching windows all the way (windows XP btw)  and setting hyperspin as my shell. the volume keys no longer work.. UNLESS explorer.exe is running in the background

So i was wondering if anyone else knew how to fix this.. besides putting hyperspin in the startup folder and just loading explorer

OH.. and if i hit any of the buttons (mute volume up/down) while in intro to hyperspin is running it skips the intro

And its also a ps/2 keyboard
