Everytime I restart or turn on my comp with the IPac connected via a USB port my computer jams at the first screen that shows up when my computer is first turned on.
It boots find without the IPac connected.
Anyone else experience this problem?

Check your wiring. This is a sign of a shorted key and/or a broken grounding loop.
Also if it's getting suck at the bios then go into the bios and turn off usb keyboard support. The ipac could confuse some chipsets.

Everything looks to be ground and okay. What do you mean by a broken grounding loop though. You just mean a loose wire so the grounds aren't connected, right?
I'll try my BIOS... My keyboard is hooked up wirelessly via PS2 I think...

When the computer boots fine without the ipac plugged in, what happens if you plug the thing in after the pc is booted all the way? does it work, or does it crash?
if it works, then it can't be a corrupted driver problem, so you've narrowed it down mostly to hardware and bios like HC said.

Works fine if i plug it in after boot. All the connections look fine with my wiring...

I had a similar problem with XP finding a USB printer and a USB gamepad at boot...I had to plug them in after boot (only on one particular system). On a hunch, I connected them through a USB HUB. It finds everything now. Don't ask me why this worked...it just worked. Hope this helps. ;D

stuff like this makes me wonder if computers really can hate their users, but have no way of expressing it other than crashing for no reason at all. ::)
