Very funny!

I'm committed this time.  We went from Plywood sheets to what you see above this weekend.  My 10 y/o daughter was very into the construction.
We used 3/4" Birch cabinet grade plywood.  I cannot find 5/8" plywood for the control panel top to give me 5/8 + 1/8 plexi with t-molding.  I will probably
make the control panel out of 5/8 MDF if I can find it.
The TV is a 27" Philips that has been sitting on the floor of our guest room unused for a year.
I have a 7800GT with S-video out for the TV.
Still debating the Coin Door.  It can wait for now.
Last night I ordered the following items to hopefully have them by next weekend:

2 x 8-way Joysticks
12 x happs buttons (6 each Joystick)
2 x happs buttons (mouse left/right)
2 x happs buttons (coins)
1 player and 2 player start buttons
4 x happs buttons (admin)
1 x 4 way ball top Joystick (long shaft with blue top)
1 x Happs 3" trackball with mounting kit
1 x TurboTwist 2 Spinner  with Blue Knob
1 x Ipac 2
1 x Optipac
3/4" T-Molding
27" CRT Bezel
10' of Marquee Rail

Should have most of this by the weekend.
Now there IS no turning back.

Yes!  But you see, I read and read and read and read post here.  Basically answered most question I would have by using the magic "Search" box.  What most forum folks should do.
I'm sure I'm going to have a few questions as I get more into this.

 ;D

Got a bit more done tonight.  Euro Hinges are a little tricky.

heh that look on your daughter's face is classic, it's the "ok dad I'm tired of holding this now" look, makes me wonder how many times I gave my dad that look

You may want to address the lighting issue of your marquee area. The brace needs to be trimmed back to allow the light to cover the entire marquee. If you don't do this, you will have 4 dark square areas in each corner of the marquee.

+1
Here's an example of the issue and how someone fixed it:

Better to take of this now than after you've got the whole thing painted!

Nice to have a helper small enough to fit inside the cab! :)

Here is another way to fix the problem.   Totally dependent on the marquee you choose.

I thought I had auto notify on for this thread.  Otherwise, I would have known of your warning for the black squares.  Here are some updates on the cab.
I went with a basic MAME theme for now as my daughter and I were fighting over naming rights.   ;D

We finally decided  to wait and see what kind of nicknames folks come up with that stop by to play.

As for the squares behind the marquee, you'll see I just found that out today.  Doh!  But never fear, the dremel is near!
