Title: Rowe R-89 Jukebox Question
Post by: hunter36 on May 15, 2011, 05:19:58 pm
I have a R-89 jukebox and just noticed that the "selection playing" display shows 100 at rest or when no records are playing.  It will display the correct record selection when playing a record but will default to 100 when no entries are selected.  Should the display show 100 or 000 at rest?  I can't recall if it was ever at 000.  If so, does anyone know which board or component on the board I would have to test or replace.  I do not have a shop manual as they are hard to come by.  Any help is appreciated.  thanks.

Hi,

Showing 100 is correct.

You can get any shop manual from R-89 through to R-94 which has the mechanical adjustments and error codes etc, but for cabinet trim and sound to light details you need the correct manual.

Thanks Ami-man.

The only thing is I found this you-tube video of a r-89 and it show "000" for the "selection playing" display prior to playing a record which is confusing me.  Did they make them both ways, to display 000 and 100 at rest.  maybe so, don't know. (Link is below which it displays at around the four second shot.)
